"Sekrenyis Celebration"

The History Department 4th Semester of Don Bosco College Kohima
conducted Sekrenyi sfestival on 25th February, 2025at8 am from SI hall.
The Sekrenyi festival is a significant festival of the Angami Nagas. Sekrenyi is
not just acelebration but a vital part of the Angami Heritage, reflecting their
traditional beliefs, values and ways of life.
The celebration waschaired by Kevilaphreu Sote, swiftly sailing the order of
theprogram .The word of God and prayer of invocation was pronounced by
Theja Metha and Kevidilie Sote respectively, inviting God's grace during the
program.
Insights on Sekrenyi Festival was delivered by Mhalekhonuo Khezie instilling
thenorms, meaning and the values of the celebration. Words of gratitude was
delivered by Sedepie Chaya.
The celebration wasgraced by Dr.Lanukumla Ao assistant professor of
History Department. 41studentsof different tribes attended the program
fostering diversity and inclusivity. The curtain was finallypulled by
Dr.Lanukumla Ao, enlightening the studen
