The Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Cyber Security was organized by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NEILIT) on11th February 2025. The program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of faculty members especially in the College domain of cybersecurity, equipping them with the latest developments, threats, and countermeasures to integrate into their academic curriculum and research.
The FDP covered a range of cybersecurity topics, including:
Ø Introduction to Cyber Security: Basics, threats, and challenges
Ø Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing: Identifying vulnerabilities and countermeasures
Ø IoT & Cloud Security: Securing modern IT infrastructure
Ø Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security: Automated threat detection
Ø Cyber Laws & Compliance: Data protection regulations.
The Faculty Development Program on Cyber Security was a significant step toward strengthening cybersecurity awareness and expertise among faculty members. The participants expressed a keen interest in further workshops and advanced training sessions on specialized cybersecurity topics.
