It gives me immense pleasure and pride to address you as the Principal of Don Bosco College, Kohima, an institution that continues to scale new heights of excellence with each passing year.

A Journey of Remarkable Growth
Don Bosco College stands as a testament to what dedication, vision, and collective effort can achieve. From its humble beginning in 2015 with just 138 students, our institution has grown exponentially to accommodate nearly 1,400 students today. This phenomenal growth over a span of merely 10 years reflects not just our expanding infrastructure, but our unwavering commitment to quality education and holistic development.

Recent Milestones and Achievements
The academic year 2024-25 has been particularly rewarding for our college community. I am proud to share some of our significant accomplishments:

NAAC Accreditation Success: In November last year, despite being a young institution undergoing its first cycle of accreditation, Don Bosco College put up an impressive performance. We achieved a commendable B++ grade with a score of 2.92, a remarkable feat that validates our commitment to academic excellence and institutional quality.

Infrastructure Enhancement: On July 5th of this year, we inaugurated a significant extension to our college building, adding 10 new state-of-the-art classrooms along with other essential facilities. This expansion enables us to provide better learning environments and accommodate our growing student population.

Academic Program Expansion: We have broadened our academic horizons by introducing postgraduate programs in Sociology and History, offering our students enhanced opportunities for specialized higher education.

New Facilities: The addition of Bosco Gym further enriches our campus facilities, promoting physical wellness alongside academic pursuits.

Academic Excellence
Our students have brought tremendous pride to the institution through their outstanding academic performance. In the 2024-25 academic year, Don Bosco College achieved an remarkable milestone with 13 top ten ranks across various departments. This exceptional result reflects the dedication of our students and the quality of education we provide.

Combined with our modern classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, we provide an environment that fosters both academic achievement and personal growth.
The vibrant campus life at Don Bosco College is enriched by highly active NCC and NSS units, along with numerous clubs and student movements that contribute to the holistic development of our students. These co-curricular activities ensure that our students graduate not just as academically competent individuals, but as well-rounded citizens ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
